We are officially in the thick of this whole Coronavirus pandemic. I’ve been teleworking for almost two months at this point. In addition to this new normal, I’ve also become a full-time SAHM (stay at home mom) because Emory’s daycare closed around the second week of March. Needless to say, my life has become one giant game of Jenga! This balancing act has forced me to use recipes that I can make in 30 minutes or less, with minimal ingredients. These 3-ingredient Sunbutter and Maple Cheerio Treats fit into that category perfectly.

There is an entire community filled with parents whose children suffer from food allergies. I happened to stumble across this recipe while searching for easy gluten-free and vegan snacks for kids. Fellow blogger allerGene-friendly shared this delicious treat on her Instagram and I instantly saved it.
Not only do these Sunflower and Maple Cheerio treats taste delicious they are super easy to make. I’m almost certain that you have all the ingredients. It’s important to note that this recipe can be made with any type of cereal. Although I might caution you to use cereal that’s not too sweet. Cheerios, Corn flakes, or Rice Krispies are my three gluten-free suggestions. Additionally, substituting the sunbutter for peanut butter will work also.

Sunbutter & Maple Cheerio Treats
Equipment
- 8x8 pyrex
Ingredients
- 3 cups Cheerios Cereal (gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup SunButter (Creamy)
- 1/2 cup Honey
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients and pour into a pyrex dish.
- Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
